The Matte Black Cardiff Series Top or Bottom Mount Hinge is a pivot-style hinge designed for use with 5/16" to 3/8" tempered safety glass in shower enclosures. Constructed from solid brass, this hinge is intended for head and sill mounting, which allows for the majority of the door weight to be carried on the bottom. This mounting style provides clearance for towel bars and other projections. The Cardiff Series features a self-centering mechanism that engages when the door is within 15 degrees of the closed position, utilizing four springs for retention. The hinge allows for full rotation and is compatible with the Deluxe Header System for enclosures that do not reach the ceiling. When using two hinges, the system supports a maximum door weight of 100 lbs and a maximum door width of 31". The hinge features a square edge profile and a matte black finish. Installation requires glass cut-outs, and the package includes gaskets, screws, and glass fabrication dimensions. Optional 5-degree pivot pin sets are available to alter the closing position of the door.
