The Unlacquered Brass Cardiff Series Top or Bottom Mount Hinge is a pivot-style hinge designed for use with 5/16" to 3/8" tempered safety glass in shower enclosures. This hinge is constructed from solid brass and features a square edge profile. The top and bottom mount design allows for a greater amount of glass to be visible and reduces the number of cut-outs required compared to standard side-mount hinges. This hinge can be mounted to the floor and ceiling or floor and header, and it is adaptable to the Deluxe Header System for enclosures that do not reach the ceiling. The Cardiff Series hinge is self-centering when within 15 degrees of the closed position and utilizes four springs for retention. When using two hinges, the system supports a maximum door weight of 100 lbs and a maximum door width of 31". The hinge allows for full rotation and can be inset from the wall to provide clearance for towel bars and other projections. The package includes gaskets, screws, and glass fabrication dimensions. The unlacquered brass finish provides a classic aesthetic that may develop a patina over time.
