This Dormakaba 1E-S2 standard rim cylinder tailpiece connects a rim cylinder to the internal locking mechanism of a compatible rim exit device or nightlatch. Designed for use with BEST 1E series interchangeable core (IC) rim cylinders, this component transmits the rotational motion from the key or thumbturn to actuate the lock's bolt. Its break-off design features scored sections that allow for easy field adjustment, enabling it to be cut to the appropriate length for various lock applications or door thicknesses.
