The Dormakaba 7181139 is a black plastic disposable construction core designed for temporary use in Small Format Interchangeable Core (SFIC) lock hardware. This core provides basic access control and security during the construction or renovation phase of a building. It allows workers to secure doors without installing the permanent, often more expensive, cylinder cores. Sometimes referred to as a zero-pin core, it helps prevent damage or premature wear to permanent cylinders and simplifies key management. Once construction is complete, the temporary core is easily removed and replaced with the specified permanent SFIC core.
