This Brass hinge is designed for 180 degree glass-to-glass mounting, suitable for Residential Bath and Commercial Hotel Applications. The hinge profile is Beveled and it features a self-centering mechanism that operates within 15 Degree of Closed Position. The hinge angle is 180 Degree. It comes factory set at 90 degrees, with a secondary setting on the pivot pin that can be field adjusted to allow an additional 5 degrees of closing for jobs that require a firmer positive position against a jamb or seal. This hinge accommodates Monolithic Tempered Glass with a thickness ranging from 3/8" to 1/2" (10mm to 12mm) and requires a cutout. The maximum door weight supported is 80 lbs with 2 hinges or 120 lbs with 3 hinges. Maximum door width is 28" with 2 hinges or 32" with 3 hinges. For 3/8" glass, use one thick gasket on each side, for 1/2" glass, use one thin gasket on each side. For 3/8" glass, the approximate weight supported per hinge is 5 lb, and for 1/2" glass, it is approximately 6.4 lb. The included items are the Hinge, Glazing Gaskets, Hex Head Screws, Crosshead Head Cover Plate Screws, and a Fabrication Template. The template is for standard 3/16" (5mm) glass-to-glass clearance. When installing, tighten clamping screws by hand only, do not use power tools. Re-tighten screws after about 10 minutes and one final time, the recommended torque is 45 lb-in per screw. For cleaning, wipe dry daily and use a soft damp cloth with mild liquid cleaner. This component is presented in a Polished Chrome finish.
