The Glass to Wall Mount Shower Door Hinge with Short Back Plate is designed for frameless glass shower enclosures and partitions. It is made from solid forged brass with a polished chrome with brass accents, blending well with bathroom glass hardware and fittings. The hinge connects glass doors to a wall panel securely, supporting smooth operation in shower installations. This hinge works with glass thicknesses of 3/8" and 1/2" (10 and 12mm) and requires cutouts in the glass panel for installation. It is built with beveled corners for a neat appearance, making it suitable for modern frameless bathroom designs. The short back plate design reduces the visible mounting area while providing proper stability. The hinge measures with 4" height 2-1/4" width, with 3/16" and 1/4" plate thickness, 3" hole spacing, 1/2" hole size, and 1-15/16" hole-to-edge distance, giving accurate alignment during setup. Each hinge is rated for 55 lbs of weight capacity, with two hinges supporting doors up to 110 lbs and three hinges supporting doors up to 165 lbs. It can handle glass doors up to 36" in width, offering flexibility for different frameless layouts. A self-closing feature is included, with the door beginning to close automatically from a 25 degree opening. The hinge also supports a 0 degree return function with a reversible 5 degree pin, allowing small adjustments in alignment inward or outward.
