The LCN 4040XP-72 ALUM Standard Cover is a component designed for LCN 4040XP Series heavy-duty surface-mounted door closers. It serves to protect the internal mechanism of the door closer while providing a finished aesthetic. This specific cover is crafted from cast iron with an aluminum powder coat finish, corresponding to BHMA 689. It is designed to fit closer housings with dimensions of 12-1/4 inches in length, 3-1/2 inches in height, and 2-1/4 inches in depth. The cover features a non-handed, snap-fit design for secure and easy installation with patented retention. It is UL 10C rated for fire resistance. The LCN 4040XP Series closers, for which this cover is an accessory, are ANSI/BHMA A156.4 Grade 1 rated and meet ADA reduced opening force requirements.
