Product Overview
The MIFAB M2-500-NPB M-500 Series pressure drop activated trap seal primer, constructed of lead-free brass, automatically replenishes the water seal in floor drain traps. This prevents the evaporation of water and the subsequent entry of sewer gases into occupied spaces. It features 1/2 inch male NPT inlet and 1/2 inch female NPT outlet connections. The device activates when a 3 psi pressure drop occurs in the cold water line, delivering water to maintain the trap seal. This specific M2-500 model is designed to serve up to three floor drain traps. Key features include four view holes for visual inspection of water delivery and a replaceable stainless steel filter screen. It requires no adjustments or air pre-charge and can be disassembled in the field for maintenance. The O-ring seals are rated for temperatures ranging from -40°F to 450°F. The primer operates within a pressure range of 20 to 80 psi and is certified to ASSE Standard 1018, I.A.P.M.O., and C.S.
