The Matte Black Vienna 044 Series Wall Mount Offset Back Plate Hinge is designed for mounting shower doors to walls. Constructed from solid brass, this hinge supports wider and heavier glass doors. It accommodates 3/8" to 1/2" tempered safety glass. The hinge features a self-centering mechanism that engages when within 15 degrees of the closed position and allows for 90-degree swings in both directions. It includes a reversible pivot pin, with the 90-degree side activated by default, and an 85-degree option for tighter closure. Two steel pins inside the hinge allow for template options, supporting both "mouse-ears" and rectangular cut-outs. When using two hinges with 3/8" glass, the capacity is 100 lbs with a maximum door width of 34". With 1/2" glass, it supports 100 lbs and a maximum width of 32". Using three hinges increases the capacity to 130 lbs for both glass thicknesses. The hinge includes gaskets, screws, and glass fabrication dimensions. The maximum clamping screw torque is 60 lbf.in. This hinge is suitable for corner, niche, and bathtub enclosures.
