The Oatey 103 Series D11PVCOFF shower drain is designed for use with preformed shower stall bases, offering a solution for installations where joists cannot be easily moved. Its PVC body features a 2-inch nominal pipe size (NPS) connection, intended for solvent weld installation to 2-inch Schedule 40 DWV pipe. The offset configuration provides a 1.5-inch margin of error to accommodate imperfect slab penetrations or to navigate around joists. This drain assembly includes a universal 4-1/4 inch round snap-in stainless steel strainer to prevent debris from entering the drain while allowing water to flow freely. Installation involves solvent welding the drain to the pipe, with a fiber and rubber washer providing an airtight seal to the shower base. The strainer snaps into place after installation.
