The Oatey 42150 No-Caulk Shower Drain (original MPN D8BRASSNC) is constructed with a heavy-duty cast brass body for corrosion resistance. It is designed for use with preformed shower stall bases and mechanically attaches over 2-inch Schedule 40 DWV (Drain, Waste, and Vent) ABS or PVC pipe, creating a watertight seal without the need for traditional caulking. The drain assembly includes a removable 4-1/4 inch round stainless steel strainer for a finished appearance and easy maintenance. This drain features a compression gasket that tightens around the pipe for a secure, leak-free connection, making it suitable for new shower installations and bathroom remodels, particularly in slab construction.
