The Oatey SD2PVC shower drain is engineered for use with preformed shower stall bases, providing a reliable connection to the plumbing system. This drain features a PVC body designed for a 2-inch nominal pipe size (NPS) connection, utilizing a solvent weld installation method with Schedule 40 DWV pipe. It includes a 4-1/4 inch diameter round snap-in stainless steel strainer and is sealed with fiber and rubber washers to ensure a watertight installation. The drain's design facilitates straightforward installation, with the vertical drain pipe solvent welded into the drain body either before or after the shower base is set. This Oatey 102 Series solvent weld shower drain is built for efficient water drainage in residential and commercial shower applications.
