This Oatey SD3ABSADJ shower drain is constructed from durable ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) plastic, designed for tile or marble shower bases that require a shower pan liner. It features a low-profile design suitable for installation in confined spaces. The drain body solvent welds over 2-inch or inside 3-inch Schedule 40 DWV (Drain, Waste, Vent) pipe. A reversible clamping collar is secured with four stainless steel bolts into brass inserts, and the 2-inch IPS threaded strainer barrel allows for easy height adjustment to accommodate various tile thicknesses. Weep holes are integrated into the assembly to facilitate drainage from the pan liner. The drain includes a 4-1/4 inch diameter stainless steel strainer for water collection.
