Product Overview
This Oil Creek Plastics polyethylene (PE) gas tubing (mfr code: 34IPS500) is designed for use in fuel gas distribution systems. It conforms to ASTM D2513 for polyethylene plastic pipe, tubing, and fittings for gas, ASTM D1248 for polyethylene materials, and ANSI B31.8 (ASME B31.8) for gas transmission and distribution piping systems. The tubing features a 3/4 inch Iron Pipe Size (IPS) nominal diameter, a 1.050 inch nominal outside diameter, and a minimum wall thickness of 0.095 inches. It has a Standard Dimension Ratio (SDR) of 11, which defines its dimensional relationship and contributes to its pressure capabilities. Supplied in a 500-foot length, it is pressure rated up to 80 PSI. This tubing is compatible with common gas pipe fittings from manufacturers like Perfection or Continental and must be installed by trained personnel in accordance with NFPA 58 & 54, along with state and local codes.
