The Orbit Industries 4PB pancake electrical box is a round, shallow-depth enclosure constructed from 16 gauge sheet steel, designed for mounting lighting fixtures on walls and ceilings. It features a 4-inch diameter and a 1/2-inch depth, providing a volume of 5.8 cubic inches, though often specified as 6 cubic inches. This box includes five 1/2-inch back knockouts for wiring access and is suitable for supporting fixtures weighing up to 50 lbs. It is UL listed for both Canada and the US, and is RoHS compliant. The box can be used for surface or flush mounting applications but is not intended for use as a ceiling fan support box.
