Product Overview
The Orbit FSB Fan Support Box from Orbit Industries, Inc. (part number FSB) is an octagonal steel electrical box designed to support ceiling fans and lighting fixtures. Constructed from 16 gauge sheet steel, it measures 4 inches wide by 4 inches high by 1-1/2 inches deep, providing an internal capacity of 15.5 cubic inches. This box complies with NEC 314.27, supporting up to a 70 lb ceiling fan or a 70 lb light fixture. It features integral NM clamps for non-metallic sheathed cables, BX/MC clamp types, and includes a hardware pack with a push-in NM cable connector. The box is equipped with five knockouts, consisting of three 1/2 inch side knockouts and two loom pryout knockouts. It is UL listed for both Canadian and US safety standards and is RoHS compliant.
