Product Overview
A Perfection Corporation (model 41130 or PS41130) transition coupling is designed to connect dissimilar piping materials, specifically 5/8" outside diameter (OD) copper tubing to 3/4" iron pipe size (IPS) polyethylene (PE) piping. It features a brass 45° flare fitting for copper and a molded polyethylene component for the PE piping connection. This coupling has a 0.09" wall thickness for the polyethylene pipe. Primarily used in gas line installations, it offers quick and easy installation with minimal stress on the PE piping. The product meets or exceeds the requirements of ASTM D-2513 category 1, US DOT part 192, and NFPA-58. Fittings should be protected against corrosion as warranted by soil conditions, in accordance with NFPA-58 and CFR 49 Part 192. Installation must be performed by trained personnel following NFPA 58 & 54 state and local codes.
