To take a measurement with the CRL HMC035 Door Pressure Gauge, first set the small o-ring on the plunger rod to zero against the instrument's flange. Then, hold the gauge firmly and press slowly against the door at approximately handle-height, about 30 inches away from the door's hinges, and read the force indicated by the o-ring on the plunger scale.
