Product Overview
This Rust-Oleum Touch 'n Tone red oxide spray primer (mfr code 253562) is an all-purpose primer designed for interior and exterior applications. It provides a durable protective coating that resists fading, chipping, and peeling, creating a base that improves paint adhesion and enhances the final finish. Suitable for bare wood and metal surfaces, it offers anti-corrosion properties for ferrous metals like iron and steel. It is not recommended for use on galvanized metal. The 10 oz aerosol can provides coverage for approximately 8 to 12 square feet per can and dries to a flat red oxide finish in as little as 10 to 20 minutes. Its formulation includes acetone, propane, n-butane, hydrotreated light distillate, n-butyl acetate, naphtha petroleum hydrotreated light, talc (hydrous magnesium silicate), iron oxide, xylenes (o-, m-, p- isomers), dimethyl carbonate, and ethylbenzene.
