CRL Tremco® Dymeric® 240FC is a patented, multi-component, chemically curing, polyurethane sealant specifically formulated for dynamically moving building joints. Dymeric® 240FC typically adheres to all common construction substrates without primers. Still it is recommended to perform a field adhesion mock test on the actual materials being used in the job to verify the need of primer. Basic Uses: Dymeric® 240FC provides non-sag, flexible, durable, weathertight seals in such areas as: expansion joints in masonry and metal curtainwall; perimeter joints of sash, panels and doors; exterior insulated finish systems; severe outdoor applications with ultraviolet exposure. Dymeric® 240FC has a gun grade consistency and is easily workable in hot and cold climates producing a smooth, attractive bead. Technical Data Meets U.S. Federal Specification TT-S-00227E, Class A, Type II; ASTM C 920, Type M, Grade NS, Class 50, Use NT, T, M, A, and O; Canadian Standard CAN/CGSB-19.24-M90, Type II Class B. Limitations Do not apply to damp or contaminated surfaces. Not recommended for glazing of acrylic or polycarbonate sheets; vehicular traffic joints, applications on glass, anodized aluminum and other special architectural finishes without prior adhesion testing; some marble and natural stone substrates without additional surface preparation. Dymeric® 240FC provides non-sag, flexible, durable, weathertight seals in such areas as: expansion joints in masonry and metal curtainwall; perimeter joints of sash, panels and doors; exterior insulated finish systems; severe outdoor applications with ultraviolet exposure. Dymeric® 240FC has a gun grade consistency and is easily workable in hot and cold climates producing a smooth, attractive bead. It adheres without primer in most applications (concrete, wood, brick, and masonry). NOTE: Requires one Color Pak Pouch per 1-1/2 gallon (5.7 l) pail (not included).
