The Two Way Classic Electronic Communicator 1/2" to 1" Glass Thickness, 18" Gooseneck Size AC Power Type is designed to support two way voice communication through fixed glass barriers used in security counters, service windows, reception areas, and controlled access points. This unit is intended for installations where glass thickness ranges from 1/2" to 1" and mounts through a circular cutout required between 3" to 4" in diameter. The housing is manufactured from machined aluminum and finished in satin anodized to provide a consistent surface for countertop or wall-mounted installations. The outside faceplate diameter measures 5" with an outside projection of 1/2", while the housing inside depth measures 2-1/2", allowing placement within standard counter cavities. An 18" gooseneck microphone is included and uses an electret microphone type to capture voice input from the user side of the glass where extended reach is required. Audio handling is supported by two internal amplifiers that manage voice transmission on both sides of the barrier. The communicator operates using a wide power supply input range of 100-240V/AC and provides a power supply output of 15V/DC, 1A for internal operation. A Nickel Cadmium battery is included to support continued operation during power interruptions, offering a useful time range of 10 to 12 hours per charge and a battery operation time of up to 10 hours, with an approximate battery charge time of 6 hours. The listen mode includes 20 db compression to help manage voice levels, while distortion remains less than 2% during normal operation. The total unit weight is 4 lbs, supporting stable installation in fixed glass communication environments.
