The Two Way Classic Electronic Communicator 1" to 1-1/2" Glass Thickness, 18" Gooseneck Size AC Power Type is designed to support clear two way voice communication through fixed glass barriers used in security counters, service windows, and isolation booths. This unit is intended for installations where glass thickness ranges from 1" to 1-1/2" and mounts through a circular cutout required between 3" to 4" in diameter. The communicator housing is manufactured from machined aluminum and finished in satin anodized, providing a consistent surface for permanent counter or wall installations. The outside faceplate diameter measures 5" with an outside projection of 1/2", while the housing inside depth measures 2-1/2", allowing placement within standard counter or partition spaces. An 18" gooseneck microphone is included and uses an electret microphone design to support voice pickup during conversations across the glass barrier. Audio output is handled through two internal amplifiers that manage sound transmission on both sides of the glass. The unit operates using a power supply input range of 100-240V/AC and provides a power supply output of 15V/DC, 1A for internal operation. A Nickel Cadmium battery is included to support operation during power interruption, offering a battery operation time of up to 10 hours, with a useful time range of 10 to 12 hours per charge and a battery charge time of approximately 6 hours. The listen mode includes 20 db compression to help manage voice levels during communication, while distortion remains less than 2% during normal operation.
