The Two Way Classic Electronic Communicator 1/2" Glass Thickness 18" Gooseneck Size AC Power Type is designed to allow clear two way voice communication through fixed glass barriers in security counters, reception desks, service windows, and controlled access areas. This unit is intended for installation on 1/2" thick glass and mounts through a circular cutout with a required diameter between 3" to 4". The outside faceplate diameter measures 5" with an outside projection of 1/2", supporting consistent surface alignment. The housing inside depth is 2-1/2", allowing placement within standard counter or barrier cavities. An 18" electret gooseneck microphone is included to support adjustable positioning toward the speaker for effective voice pickup. Audio transmission is handled through two internal amplifiers to support communication on both sides of the glass. The communicator operates on a wide power supply input range of 100-240V/AC and provides a regulated power supply output of 15V/DC, 1A for system operation. A Nickel Cadmium battery is included to support operation during power interruptions, offering a useful time of 10 to 12 hours per charge and a battery operation time of up to 10 hours, with an approximate charge time of 6 hours. The listen mode includes 20 db compression to help manage varying voice levels, while distortion remains less than 2% during normal use.
