The Two Way Classic Electronic Communicator 1/2" Glass Thickness 18" Gooseneck Size DC Power Type is designed to support clear two way voice communication through fixed glass barriers used in security counters, service windows, reception desks, and isolation areas. This unit is intended for installation on 1/2" glass and features a round faceplate with a 5" diameter for consistent surface coverage on the glass. The aluminum body with satin anodized finish is suitable for indoor environments where controlled communication is required. An 18" gooseneck microphone is included to allow flexible positioning toward the speaker for accurate voice pickup. The communicator operates using a DC output of output of 12V/DC, 2A and accepts a power supply input of 120V at 60 Hz. A built-in Lithium Ion battery supports continued operation during power interruptions, providing a useful time of 10 to 12 hours per charge and a battery operation time of up to 10 hours, with an approximate charge time of 6 hours. Listen mode includes 20 db compression to help manage differences in voice levels between users on each side of the glass. Audio performance is maintained with distortion rated at less than 2% during normal use. With an overall depth of 4" and a total weight of 4 lbs, this communicator is intended for stable mounting in glass-mounted communication systems where secure and consistent voice exchange is needed.
