The OmegaFlex CounterStrike Corrugated Stainless Steel Tubing (CSST) is a flexible gas piping system designed for natural gas and propane installations. It features a 3/4-inch diameter and comes in a 100-foot spool. The tubing consists of a 300 series stainless steel pressure liner encased in an engineered polymer jacket. This black, conductive, UV/Ozone resistant polyethylene jacket is flame retardant and engineered to dissipate electrical energy, offering up to 400 times more resistance to lightning strikes and electrical arcing compared to traditional yellow CSST. The non-annealed construction provides increased crush resistance and simplifies cutting. It is designed for easier installation, laying straighter and pulling more smoothly than other brands, and has higher flow ratings. This CSST is rated for a working pressure of 25 PSIG and a temperature range of -20 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit, with an internal diameter of 0.82 inches and an outer diameter of 1.14 inches with the jacket. It holds certifications including CSA, UL (for fire resistance), ANSI LC1/CSA 6.26, ANSI Z223.1, ASTM E84, ICC (IFGC, IPC), ICC PMG 1058 (for enhanced lightning protection), IAPMO, and is Factory Mutual (FM) approved for seismic resistance. Installation must be performed by trained personnel in accordance with NFPA 54, NFPA 58, and all applicable state and local codes.
