Product Overview

The ME1690 Pol adapters 1/4 in. male pipe fitting fits the inlet of all standard low pressure regulators. The Pol nut features a left hand thread and fits all standard LP gas cylinder valves. The excess flow Pol is different than standard POL fittings because it has a check valve inside. If gas surges through the fitting, the check valve will check. It does not shut off the gas but it does restrict the gas flow. Should an accident occur that would break the fitting off ahead of the regulator, or sever the hose the check valve would safety restrict the flow of escaping gas.

  • Caution: when installing the 1/4 in. male NPT into regulator inlet, it is recommended that teflon tape be used instead of the thread sealant, If thread sealant is used, extreme caution should be taken that no thread sealant that no thread sealant gets in the regulator inlet
