With Smart Range, glass top electric ranges can finally benefit from the award-winning technology that has helped keep European kitchens and homes safer from the risk of cooking fire for many years. Smart Range monitors changes in the ranges cooking temperature and signals a pre-alarm if a cooking fire risk is detected. If the user does not press the Heat Sensor cover during the pre-alarm, the range will automatically shut off. Smart Range does not protect against all possible hazards, but it does significantly improve cooking safety and delivers a return on investment through insurance savings, restoration and lost rent costs.
