The CRL Remote Control Retrofit provides predictable and reliable wireless operation of your Wood's lifting frame. These remote control devices utilize radio frequencies for communication instead if infrared radiation. In use this means longer transmission ranges and less transmission blockage by many common building materials. With several radio frequencies available, each with over a million security codes, interference from other radio transmissions or random RF noise is virtually eliminated. The Remote Control Retrofit assembly is an enhancement to your lifting frame and does not interfere with standard controls when direct operation is desired. The control system's "default setting" is the apply mode, which causes the lifter's vacuum pads to attach to the load. To initiate any function that suspends the apply mode, two specific switches must be activated simultaneously. When either of these switches is activated, a strobe light attached to the frame will begin flashing to notify the operator and any other people in the vicinity of the operational change.
Due to the complexity of the retrofit process, and for safety and liability reasons, it is recommended that all Remote Control Retrofit procedures be performed at the factory by expert Wood's technicians. Customers are responsible for all freight charges to and from Laurel, Montana.

Proper safety gear including head protection should be worn whenever glass, windows, or other material is being handled in an overhead environment. Vacuum lifting equipment must be constantly observed for any signs of premature release of load.
