Trap Vents

To prevent any transmission of sewer gas into the plumbing system, it is required to use a trap vent. The trap vent works simply by opening the valve within the trap vent and admitting fresh air into the system. This happens when a fixture discharges into a system, causing negative pressure. Among many products available in this category is the PVC Vent Trap from the National Brand Alternative that ensures that foul-smelling sewer gas does not enter the building. It also equalizes the pressure within the system and protects the trap seal. The valve automatically closes by gravity and prevents the sewer gas from entering.

Other products in this category are the PVC Trap Vent Black, Steel Mobile Home/RV Plumbing Vent Cap, and Plastic Mobile Home/RV Plumbing Vent Cap. The vent cap is resistant to rust and corrosion even when exposed to moisture and humidity is inevitable. The vent cap fits pipes that are 1-½ inch in diameter.
